What is Ethics & Compliance Guide System?
Each business unit must appoint an independent Guidance Counselor of Ethics and Law to supervise and monitor adherence to the code of ethics, company policies, and appropriate laws and regulations while working closely with the Internal Audit Office. The intent of the Internal Audit Office is to promote ethical management practices throughout the company and cultivate and foster individual business eithics.
Purpose
- To establish an ethics and law system throughout the company
- To establish a system of self-motivated ethical performance and control
- To enhance ethical performance
- To promote effective communication within each department
- To cultivate and foster and ethical mindset
- To support ethical behavior and to establish ethical corporate culture
Role
- Education/Publicity
- Educate the members of each business unit regarding ethics and law
- Look for examples of ethical and lawful behavior and publicize
- Guiding & Monitoring
- Consult and advise the members of each business unit concerning ethics and law
- Guide and monitor ethical and lawful behavior
- Detect violations of the system
- Recommend improvements to the system.
- Communication
- Investigate adherence to company policy concerning ethics and law
- Facilitate communication regarding the system between business units
